HANDY WINTER WARMERS in the mix at our next Craft Hatch
It would be crazy of us not to feature a big bag of winter goodies in our first Craft Hatch for winter, and so it's great to have Zooblast with us this June. Featuring limited edition scarves, beanies and mittens, as well as toys for the kids, Zooblast's work at Craft Hatch will warm even the coldest of Melbourne souls.
Zooblast (Jade Kahle) is an artist who, after years of paint and pencils, decided that all she needed was a "couple of needles or a hook and tons of string" and she could make anything. "The challenge is to create fresh quirky [work] that can be worn, that can evolve with someone, that can become part of their experience and everyday," says Zooblast.
Alongside her is an eclectic mix of artists/makers, including intriguing glassware by Li Sim Lo, vegemite earrings by Saturday Lollipop, and quirkily illustrated stationery from Melissa Reidy.
Also featured at the Craft Hatch market this June is Elodie Darwish, Hien Huynh, Mr Moo, Pom by Pomegranate, Pretty Parcel, Ruby Pilven and SassiCapra.
